Way Huang
UI Designer / Web Designer
I connect interface design, design systems, and frontend implementation to create clear, stable, and build-ready digital experiences.
Projects
Gabor Patch
A mobile app concept for short Gabor patch visual training.

Wennan ReMarket
A community event website and internal dashboard for Wennan ReMarket.

Stratum - AI Career Advisor
An AI career advisor that turns long AI answers into a guide people can actually read and understand.

Buddy House
Redesigned a restaurant website so people can book a table on their phone faster — cut booking time from 150 seconds to 90 in testing.

GalaxyBoyz
A band website with big bold text and scroll animations, so visitors feel the band vibe the moment the page loads.

Skills
Design Capability
Interface and flow design: Build high-fidelity UI, interactive prototypes, mobile flows, and clear information hierarchy in Figma.
Design systems: Define Material Design 3, color, typography, spacing, component states, and interaction rules to keep the product experience consistent.
AI product design: Structure AI-generated content, trust signals, and scanning patterns while using tools like Recraft to speed up visual exploration and design proposals.
Frontend Delivery
Frontend implementation: Turn designs into responsive websites and frontend prototypes with Vue 3, Nuxt 4, and SCSS/Tailwind CSS.
Interaction and app prototypes: Use GSAP, CSS animation, Canvas API, persistence, and Capacitor structure to create product-like interaction flows.
Delivery communication: Consider reusable components, states, breakpoints, and engineering constraints early to reduce handoff friction.
Analytics & Optimization
Behavior analytics: Use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to observe behavior and turn data into interface hypotheses and optimization directions.
Collaboration workflow: Familiar with Git/GitHub, design specs, and versioned delivery, keeping requirements, states, and implementation scope aligned with developers.
About Me
Hello, I'm Way Huang. With a foundation in engineering, my transition into UI design focuses on bridging the gap between "logical reasoning" and "aesthetic sensibility."
I work with Vue 3, Nuxt 4, SCSS, and Tailwind CSS, and I consider component states, responsive rules, and buildable prototypes early in the design process. This helps interfaces move beyond static mockups into stable, usable product experiences.
I am especially interested in design systems and information architecture for AI products. My workflow includes building variants, variables, and interaction states in Figma, using GSAP for clear and restrained motion, and integrating AI tools like Gemini and Recraft for information structuring, interaction ideas, and visual asset exploration.
Committed to serving as a bridge between design and engineering, the ultimate goal is to deliver digital experiences that achieve both business objectives and user delight.
